Separate graph for notations/ Trading journal
The ability to post notes and markings on one graph layout without it appearing on all graphs, or at least the ability to toggle the notes on and off. Graphs can get very cluttered at times and it would be very useful to be able to note trading ideas and entry and exits on the corresponding stock graph without it looking (even more) like a road map. I would use it as a quick and easy trading journal as,I think, would many others. I think this would be a winner.

Please add "Boxes" or "Rectangles" to the "Graph Drawing Types" pull down. It applies regularly to stock charts in our current market.

Add vertical lines to the graphs and market timing graph to represent one trading week.
Add vertical lines to graphs and especially market timing graph to represent one week's trading (as they do in "Think or Swim". This allows you to see pattern better with respect to how long your trade has been on and how much time is left and how much time has elapsed.

Auto-select Graph Layouts List.
It would be nice if after clicking on the “Graph Layouts” list or hovering the cursor over the list kicks in auto-select or typing a letter or number cause VV to search the list and then highlight the search matching the first letter or number that was typed i.e. click on the Graph Layouts list and then typing “m” would bring the search “Midas Touch” in to view and highlighted, clicking on it would initiate the graph.

Chart Weekly, Daily Buttons at lower right hand corner of charts.
It would be nice if you could add a “W” (Weekly) and “D” (Daily) button in the lower right hand corner of the charts windows. Between the date field and the current time frame buttons (1m, 3m, etc.). This would make them even more productive being able to easily which between weekly and daily charts for the most common time frames.
Thanks!

Load graph trend markers with graph layout type
When selecting a graph layout, such as "Protrader Timing DEW" have its associated trend marker "DEW" load automatically. In almost every Daily Color Guard Report the VectorVest staff will click on the graph type and then click its associated trend marker. It's just a logical thing to do. Therefore, why not have it happen simultaneously while selecting the graph layout type?
Thank you

Please highlight the current graph settings...re: highlight active lower right tabs, and highlight current graph in pull down menu.
Please make it easier to figure out where a user is in the graphing system by highlight active settings. Your classes have taught us to use multiple different graph settings, but some very similar. Yet your system remains opaque and far behind in helping the user identify the current settings and easily take advantage of all the techniques we've learned.

Add a 2y button to the Graphs tab on the lower R so we don't have to scale manually for >1 to <5 years.
If you need more real estate on the page to do this, eliminate some (or all) of the day buttons. They are useless for Midnight Cowboys, but others can easily scale to any usable view manually using only 1, 3 and 5 d(ay) buttons. You'd even have room to add a 2 w(eek) button, if desired. Change the 5 and 10 y(ear) buttons to automatically show weekly charts to speed up loading.

Add a function similar to IBD's RS (strength of a stock vs index).
Add a function similar to IBD's RS (strength of a stock vs index). This would help identify how much of a stocks movement is from the market and how much is stock specific (the alpha).

also want to receive text alerts when the vv index hits a certain value. can you make it happen please?1 vote -

save stocks in graph
Would be nice to be able to save the stocks you are looking at in the graphs tab so that when it's opened later (after closing out the current login) the same stocks are still there. Then you could alter them as needed rather than having to enter them when you come back the next day.

graph cursor
Crosshair Horizontal Bar Cursor Not Locked
First, let me say I appreciate VV very much. But like any good product, I’m sure you want to continue the improvements and tweaks.
With that said, I see VV graph cursors are flexible, but I feel could use a little tweeting. I see two problems:
1) The crosshairs horizontal bar currently locks to the day’s closing price of the candlestick, (it makes since the vertical would lock to the day of week). Though this horizontal locking may have some value at times, most of the time it is annoying and does not allow…7 votesHorizontal cursor issue has been added as a bug.

VV US graphing is worthless during trading hours. Response time is so slow that the entire function becomes inaccessible. Eventually I need to close down VV because it has simply frozen up.
