  1. Allow non US users to use the desktop version of Vector Vest

    From what I can see the desktop versionis for US markts only. Other markerts are covered via the web version only.

  2. add a search parameter that allows me to set a RSI # to the search. EG: RSI falls below 35.

    This is currently available using ProTrader. Add a new parameter using Stock Price (Split Adjusted) then you can choose RSI Crossover from the list of operators, configuration of the RSI Crossover is self explanitory from there.

    If you can’t find the RSI Crossover operator you may need to purchase the ProTrader upgrade. Please call us if you have any issues. 1-704-895-4095

  3. Be able to backtest a strategy with Buying on Green Light

    The Green Light buying approach has been promoted much this past year .. and for good reason. I would like to have this feature added so when backtesting you can set that you can buy only on a Green Light.

    The Green Light Buyer is now available as a BackTester strategy in the latest version of VectorVest 7 which is currently being rolled out.

  4. Fix Moving Av bug.

    I wanted to add another moving average for crossover study. The ADD button didn't seem to offer moving average, and right clicking the existing ma box didn't offer creating another new one...only altering the existing one. I happened to right click on a blank EPS box and found "add another moving average." I tried creating it from there, and got a subgraph with a straight white line...might have been dashes. FYI.

    In VectorVest 7, to add a Moving Average right-click on the item to the right of the graph that you would like to add a Moving Average to.

    So, to add an MA to Price, right-click on the Price box, and select Add Moving Average.

    You can add as many Moving Averages this way as you wish.

    We’re proud to announce that VectorVest 7 is now available on Mac OS X 10.7 and later! This solution no longer requires a separate partition or installing Parallels Desktop + Windows. Instead, we use a remote server to host VectorVest 7.

    Subscribers will install Parallels RAS Client (free app) to access our software. To start using it, go to vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/mac.

    VectorVest 7 is fully compatible with Windows 7. VectorVest Online is also compatible with Windows 7 using the most current version of Internet Explorer including the beta version of Internet Explorer 9.

  9. Thicken/stronger emphasis of plain line on a graph

    In modifying a plain line on a graph, in changing style menu, allow flexibility to "thicken" the line. Currently a plain line cannot be "thickened"/enlarged.

  10. Technical Analysis

    In Unisearch, add Technical Indicators as a searchable parameter so that we can query the various Technical Indicators, e.g. all stocks where MACD line crosses signal line from below in last 10 days, or all stocks where the DPO has crossed the zero line from below.

    This feature is now available in our latest update to VectorVest 7, currently being rolled out.

    This feature can be turned off in the Graph Settings dialog.

  13. Give each stock on performance graph a different color line automatically.

    Frequently all stocks are assigned white lines making it hard to identify what's what unless you make manual changes.

  14. Backtest needs to test with a market timer, not over a single time period. Portfolio VV6 does this.

    At the end of a backtest, the balance is reported, but not carried forward to the next signal.

    This feature exists in VectorVest 7.
    In the symbol entry box, you can enter a company name and it will find the matching symbol for you.

    This feature is currently available.

    Click on Graph Settings by selecting the Wrench on the Graphs tab. Choose Theme on the left-side of the Graph Settings tab. You can choose the default Classic White theme or you can choose the Custom Theme and set the background of the graph to any color you would like.

    You can also change the theme of the entire application to a White theme by selecting the General tab in Settings and
    choosing the Classic skin.

    The DPO Crossover search is available in VectorVest 7 with the ProTrader add-in. The RealTime data add-in is not required to run these searches.
