This is possible in the current Backtest tool. When setting up your Automation Rules, toggle to Advanced Mode at the top right corner. The last checkbox in the list is Automatically Replace Positions. Uncheck that box to get No Replacements.

Unisearch>Watchlist>Portfolio (updated) w/ equity curve chart
It's great that we can create a Watchlist with a click from Unisearch results. However, these are unchanging...so we don't know if they're successful or not. It would be great if these could be updated to reflect Profit/Loss. Of course, a chart of these changes (would even show us how the portfolio fared under various market conditions...like the Portfolio Summary Report. Thanks for allowing to submit an improvement request.
1 voteTry using ithe QuickFolio option instead. QuickFolio will turn the search results into an actual portfolio, so you will get the Profit/Loss as well as a graph.

There is a sorting error in Real TIme searches!!
The Real TIME search will not list the stocks in an ascending order when sorted by VSR*GPE/RT Asc!! There are zero values interspersed throughout the list given. I keep being told that I cannot resort by a "computed value". I don't ask to resort.... but to have the stocks arranged the way they are supposed to be in the first place!

Zoom on ProTrader Graph
After Zooming in on a chart release the Zoom feature and allow us to click on the chart so that we do not have to move the market days with just the arrow keys. I would rather press zoom a 2nd time if I want to zoom in again.

Increase Views Recording Volume
Please turn the recording volume up when recording. My system is set at 100% and your recording are muffled and I'm not able to hear your reports.

Custom Moving Averages are now available in VectorVest 7 for all ProTrader users.
A 100 Day MA Crossover can now be accomplished by creating a 100-day Custom Moving Average field.
Last Friday’s Strategy of the Week gives a great overview of how to use Custom Moving Averages in Unisearch searches.

This is possible by creating a search in Unisearch that uses the Filter By parameter. Create a new Search. For Parameter choose Stocks – Filter By – Watchlists. Choose = for the Operator. And choose the Watchlist you would like to backtest for the Value. Then create a BackTest using this Search. The same can be done by Filtering By Stock to run a BackTest on a single stock.

Add Market Timing Dates selection option to individual Stock Graphs
On the Stock Graph in the Markers menu put another selection option for Market Timing Dates in addition to the one for Stock Splits. This would be a very useful, if not essential, feature to find out how closely individual stocks correlate with the VV Timing Indicator.
1 voteThis feature already exists in VectorVest 7. To access it, select the Calls button in the bottm-left hand corner near the Splits button. This will overlay the Market Timing Dates onto the stock chart.

the MACD 'change period' does not work. no matter what number is input, the chart does not change
I prefer other time periods than the standard ones for MACD. But when I change then there is no apparent difference in the chart

VV7 new features has not been update since 10/23/2009
Please provide timingly updates each time we have updates. My RR7 still shows 10/23/2009 as the most recent updates.

Backtest Delete
In Intraday Backtest: Please add a feature to delete more than one item at a time. Deleting each one individually takes allot of time.

make the graph frequency "weekly" actually "weekly (eg. Tuesday to Tuesday, Wednesday to Wednesday).
1 voteIn VectorVest 7, the new Weekly graphs run from Friday to Friday. End Of Week graphs are also still available in VectorVest 7 which includes only the Friday data of each week.
