Excellent idea, I now track the major indexes seperately as 2-3 years ago, I kept losing money as I was watching the VVC index go down so was buy contra funds to hedge. analysis show the VVC and IWM going down, but other indexes going up, .. which I was using for hedges.... so now I watch all.

not sure, but with Interactive brokers, you can do this with IRA accounts as they have a IRA margin category you can apply for. which allow you to buy immediately with unsettled funds , but check for sure how it applies to this.

very good idea, have the alert types applied to each portfolio differently. ie I want email and phone text on only one or two, emails only on several and nothing on many others. I am running 20-30 different ones and only want the alerts on some. and only phone texts on a few critical ones, ie (those with real money).

with protrader, comparisons of the moving averages have been available for some time, (ie10ma/15ma = x.xx so if x.xx is > 1, the 10 is above the 15, and 1ma/10ma =y,yy, if y,yy > 1 then todays price is above the 10 ,,etc. ) to me this is the most useful part of the MA's and needs to be made useful in the portfolios and autotester to use as stop criteria. currently, this addtion appears to be only to be able to display the ma, but not sort or use math on. thus , will have only very limited usefulness. adding it to the portfolios and be able to do math and comparison math on the values will greatly enhance its usefulness.

How do you do this?? you can graph the individual stocks, but not the consolidated stocks together like you can do with a watchlist with a summary bar. need to incorporate the summaryu line and allow the graph of it. this would graph the stocks currently in, but not the overall performance of port.

I would rather see the overall gain and daily gain posted in the heading column, either $ or % or both. which would allow one to skim down the headng column to see days gain. rather than have to open each portfolio to see data.

There seems to be unneeded space in the graph control panel, between the parameter title and the price. moving the width line to the right forces the price column off the page and unviewable. reduce this space to the minimum and if neccessary, allow the end characters of the parameter title to disappear rather than the prices. This would allow one to widen the graph portion as much as possibe without losing the price column . and allow max witth of graph

The automation feature of the portfolio manager tracks a trailing stop under one of several criteria, such as %, ATR?x, etc. It would be helpful to have this amount displayed as a column and also useable as a field in the custom field builder that we can perform calcuations on. thus, allowing the user to see just where the stop is.

by providing a graph parameter of price - average true range x multiper as a stop line in price window, this will give a easy to read line as a stop if price falls below. currently one mus use a calculator to determine the stop price on each portfolio stock each day. to detailed.

Since my average trading commission is about $1.00/trade, I use this amount as the trade commission, and $100,000.) so this gives me the no of trades as the commission. As I am mainly interested in the gain %, any amount will work.
