I subscribe to Stockwatch and use it to analyze short interest (SI) behavior. SI data for Canadian exchange listings is manually reported from all the exchanges and dealers (MMs), and submitted to the TMX group, who then consolidate and publish a report. This report is prepared twice monthly; on the 15th and on the last day. The report is issued 3 days later. Stockwatch keeps the short interest activity and history on their website for a long time. An analyst like me copies the last few months into Excel, charts it, then uses it as yet another indicator of market sentiment, and sometimes to indicate whether irrational upward moves might be a 'short-squeeze'.

Unfortunately the data isn't a current as I would like it, but having it is better than not having it.

I'm pretty sure VV could acquire this SI data from TMX the same way Stockwatch gets it, and adding it as yet another parameter should be pretty straightforward.

AGREED. But date & time should also be on the bottom right of the main VV window. When a screenshot is needed for a trade journal, or a bug report, capturing the date & time is essential.

Search results on-screen should also show the search name on a title bar.

Opening gap trades are a personal favorite. Previously I ran with CyberTrader Pro to find and trade these automatically. I sense VV can do this, but can it be done with a personal Unisearch query?

If it would be possible to modify the login form so it can interact with LastPass that would be my preference. Otherwise consider putting a "remember creds" checkbox on the login form, allowing users to specify their preferences without interfering with others.

I suggest those having difficulty with VV candlesticks spend a little time studying them. My first impression was a little negative on them, but after taking a couple minutes to learn them, I prefer them. They are more informative at a glance than traditional candlesticks.

Since ETF holdings are published and the individual holdings have their own data that is already used by VV for calculating RS, RV, RT, GRT, EY, it would make sense to pursue this approach, calculating through a weighted average approach, to arrive at a more accurate representation. Since ETFs do from time to time shed component companies and add others, calculating this on the fly is essential.
One problem with this proposal is VV Canada doesn't look at stock data in US or Europe, etc, hence may be unable to resolve the parameters for a Cdn$ ETF comprising stocks in foreign markets (e.g. XIN,XSP).
ETFs of ETFs could be looked at this same way, although the data sources may be difficult. Overall I do agree ranking ETFs in the same grid with individual stocks that have been assessed under VV methodology, can be misleading, and improving on the current solution would be helpful to those of us who choose to include ETFs in our portfolios.

Data formats (including comma separators) should NEVER be hard-coded into an application. VV generally follows Windows Regional Settings on the PC quite well, but I notice the columns Volume & AvgVol do not exactly comply. If they did, my screen would show spaces to separate the thousands, not commas. If it does this correctly, those users who wish to see commas, would simply set their Windows Regional Settings accordingly (this will also affect other applications). That is the only correct way to do this. If VV can't comply with Windows Regional Settings for these fields, they need to consider that many of us DO NOT want commas inserted, hence a parameter should be added to allow users to configure the setting to their preference.
