I would also be very impressed if this is implemented. It makes no sense to me why Derby is not sold as a add-on module for anyone using Intraday. It would make so much sense.

You're 100% correct Bill.
For starters, let's start with the addition of a name for the backtest. Then VV should be able to group by it the same way it groups by StartDate, Search Type, etc.
This way we'd be able to come up with different names for our groups of backtests. It is extremely painfull and slow to go through 20 backtests line after line.Andre J.

Once again I am faced with an issue of not being able to experience Intraday price changes wile connecting from the office. Unlike in the past it does not work anymore, I tried having US on intraday, CA on intraday, flipped between 2 different proxy settings available for me, but to no avail.
I wonder if you can still do anything to reconfigure it on VV side...??? It is so useless to have Intraday capability but not being able to use it.every time I start VV7 I get the prices up to last tick, so obviously I do connect to data feed somehow. Continuous data feed is an issue, though. It is becoming a headache.

Hi Tim,
Than you for providing this capability. It works great for anyone who is behind the firewall defined in Internet Options proxy settings.
What I was asking for, however, was the ability to enter the proxy server, port and password manualy. Proxy Server defined on my IE is not the one I want to use for VV7 connection. Everyone tries to protect themself from various on-line viruses,ad-ware, phishing attacs, etc., so firewal setups for Internet Connections are in many cases very strict and will not alow datafeed functionality from VV7 to work properly.
Please, consider this for the future upgrade of VV7

You won't be able to satisfy everybody who is behind the firewall as each and every one can be set up differently. Why don't you provide us with the edit to make VV7 use the proxy, which would let it go through?I can submit the errors I am still getting here, as whatever you said about the fix 2 month ago did not help me at all. Let us enter proxy information on VV7 and VV6 for that matter as I feel that will help.

Not only VV7, but also VV6 would not work. VV7 is not even capable to start up, while VV6 would start, but than the buttons (Viewers, Portfolio, Research) return the no results. This depends on the set up of individual firewalls. Please, provide an edit for proxy setup for VV6 and VV7.
Please, do not suggest to use VV6 Express as a workaroung as it is useless.

I also find this extremely limiting. Backtester is a great tool, but it only can be as precize as the data it uses. I simply don't understand what's the problem with keeping and showing delisted stocks after they got delisted whatever the reason for that may be.
Take the list of 500 Top US stocks as provided by MoneySense annually and try to load it up in VV. Files provided for 2006-2010 years never loaded fully. Numerous stocks are missing due to delisting and merging.
I hope It'll get resolved in the future.

Just to clarify.... How adding commas in VectorVest7 will help to see commas in VV6? Not all your paying customers have the luxury of using VV7. After all the promises made it is still not available for Canada. This is not professional anymore. Come on guys, get real.

I agree with James as his example depicts exactly the problem I have today. It's a bit sad to see requests for this from a year ago, with no result, though.

I second Terry on this.
The longet I use VectorVest, the more I listen to strategies presented for US market, the more I try to understand and learn how the system works the more I get frustrated realizing that being a Canadian Customer and paying the same price I get way less functionality comparing to waht US Customers are getting.
Where is the sense in that? And just so I don't speak in general, here is what every Canadian Customer is missing:
1. Prographics 6 connected to Canadian Data.
2. Portfolio tracker and Intraday capability for VectorVest 6 product
3. Strategies explained and VectorVest news read to the customer as there is big value there in doing it this way as each instructor adds his/her own knowledge to it throughout the explanation.
4. List of winning strategies daily and weekly, sort of what is done via Derby Winners on US side.
5. many many more.
I can find more, but that is not the point to list the differences. Overall feeling is that we're not getting enough for the same price. Is not this obvious?
Now, there is Vector Vest 7 available for US market. I receive a lot of promises when I ask about availability for Canadian market, but my feeling is , regretfully, that you guys don't have any plans for it. It'll never happen, the same way Prographics 6.0 and Intrafday functionality was never released for Canada. Promises, promises.So, it there a timeline for future development of VV for Canadian Customers or nor? Can we see it? How about the date? Saying "Soon in 2011..." is just not proffesional

I was trying to go along the same path and arrived exactly were you guys are. No success.
One thing I've learned is they select only max. 10 stocks per strategy in the morning and continue to use them throughout the day. But I can't get the same results they get this way or the other.
