Create a Simulator for Canada
Want to make more money out of your Canadian subcribers? Offer a version of simulator that can run on TSX and Canadian Venture exchange data. My experience with simulator US has helped me identify winning strategies and, more importantly, given me the confidence to stick with a strategy. Best $6k I've spent. I've spent days running manual portfolios with autotester, but have only stratched the surface of what I did in a few hours with simulator. Please provide a simulator for Canadian data

Add ToteBoard totals to Simulator
When running thousands of tests, one currently needs to massage the results in Excel to identify which strategies had the highest # of wins. Make the totals avail. in Tote Board available to the Simulator/Variator. Without them, interpeting lots of runs can be a time-consuming hassle.
38 votesWe plan to include this in a minor upgrade to the simulator in the coming months. We also have plans for a major overhaul of the simulator / variator, which will integrate it into the VectorVest 7 platform. However, the time frame for that is still to be determined.

If, as seems apparent, the simulator/variator are orphaned products doomed never to see a solitary improvement, offer refunds to those of us who bought it in good faith.

Upgrade simulator backend database and general performance
This is sort of a technical ask. Many times while running simulator - especially if it has been running for a while - the simulations slow down to a crawl. Seems like the execution threads are stuck waiting for some response from the backend database. It is likely that the cause is the old database engine (I believe SQL 2000). With our muticore CPU and multi GB RAM - we should be able to run 10 or 50 simulations at the same time.

Add Mathematical Expection and other columns to results
Mathematical expectation should be a column in sim results. We should able to add more columns (including custom columns) for further analysis.

Have all features of Pro Trader scanning in VV 7 realtime available for Simulator.
Pro Trader scanning features is available for VV7 Realtime version, but NOT available for Simulator. I like to see these features available for Simulator as well.

Add Parabolic SAR as a testable stop loss
Parabolic stop and reverse, in my experience, is very effective in trending markets. I believe it would test better than most (possibly all) of the existing choices.

Add a new timing system to the Simulator that relfects the Enhanced DEW timing system utilizing MACD
Can you add a new timing system to the Simulator that utilized the DEW system with MACD and the Green tight system that was discussed in the views on 2/19/10 so that we can use it to back test strategies with the Simulator. Currently there is only the cofirmed calls and DEW system or the primary wave to use in our back testing with the Simulator. Your new system with MACD and combining the Green light to this is GREAT....but hard to back test.

Improve editing of Timing List - allow for delete of rows, insert, etc.
When editing a timing list, if you make a mistake and need to delete a row (even the last one), it is impossible. It should allow a user to delete/insert rows within a timing list.

variator should allow combining searches
This feature could be used in many ways. 1) Make sure all searches are for stocks that have 100K shares traded and $2 price + my variation of searches.
2) Apply a 3x5 MA cross against all searches.
3) Apply a top-sector search against all searches.
4) Apply Stochastic cross againsta all searches (after Stochastic cross is available)This would allow the existing searches to be extended greatly without having to write all new searches, and then the best combinations could be added.

Own up that the Simulator is dead -- replaced by VV7's limited toy version.
The cloud simulator of VV7 will never be able to support rigorous high-volume backtesting -- just anecdotal testing. There is no plan to implement the toteboard totals to the actual simulator. So, why pretend?

RECODE THE SIMULATOR / VARIATOR TO WORK WITH MULTI-CORE PROCESSORS
THE PROGRAM (AS TOLD TO ME BY ONE OF THE SUPPORT PEOPLE) WAS WRITTEN FOR A SINGLE CORE PROCESSOR. IF THIS CAN BE REWRITTEN TO WORK WITH MULT-CORE PROCESSORS, THE PROGRAM MAY RUN FASTER. SOME SIMULATIONS HAVE TAKEN SEVERAL DAYS TO COMPLETE. (I HAVE A QUAD CORE )

Bread tradition and do something for the S*i*m*u*l*a*t*o*r
Those who paid a good sum for the S-i-m-u-l-a-t-o-r have long waited in vain for some love from VV. Break VV tradition and add the ability to see the # of winning runs. Many have voted for it, but the only reaction thus far has been to pretend that s-i-m-ulator users don't have the same need for the totals that you tout for the Derby -- even though those totals have been requested long before the Derby came out.

Have the ability to run several searches on the same simulation
The simulator and prographics should have the ability to run several searches on the same simulation (limit to 3?). For instance if I'd like to know what happens if I run simultaneously Blyar's bottom feeders and Jail break: some or many of the top candidates form 1 search will show up in the other, thus, running both separate and then combining is not really a good comparison as this will skew the results

The ability to test hedging in Simulator
I'd like to be able to test hedging in the Simulator in addition to switching to a Long or Short portfolio. i.e., the ability to add a % of the portfolio to be allocated short on a timing signal while the rest stays long with existing stops in place.
