How can we improve VectorVest 7?

Create Stop Loss Strategy: Buy 10 -- Hold 15

I would like to have a new Stop Loss Strategy that would enable me to buy the top 10 stocks from a given strategy and hold them until they fall out of the top 15. This would enable me to continually upgrade my portfolio without excessive whipsaw trading. I would particularly like to have the capability of testing this new stop loss feature in the VV Simulator.

This could be useful, but I'd like to see flexibility in setting parameters. For example, I'd be interested in a Buy 5, Hold 10 strategy.

This could be accommodated with a "Sell Unisearch". (we have a "Buy Unisearch now). More on it on idea submitted yesterday.

Can we've an email exhibit trading step by step with a qualified coach with VV by learning from the beginning of a trading ?

I like Howard Becket's idea. I did notice that as the stock falls in VST ranking they tend to slow down a lot but it would be very helpful to see the VST ranking for each stock in my portfolio

You can create a stop in the simulator that would select the top 15 for a given selection strategy, but I believe you would have to create a separate one for each search criteria you wanted to test. It would be nice to be able to simply do it with any selection strategy without having to create many dfferent ones if you want to backtest a number of strategies this way.

cut and paste top 15 into a W/L in V V C 6...then take the next days top 15 and cut and paste into prior days W/L...use the side bar pop ups to do filtering...this is an END OF DAY routine

There is an improvement request elsewhere that requests VV keep a "rank order" value for VST on stocks daily . If you are using a "VST desc." type sort this other request might help meet this need.

I use a similar portfolio management system, where I have to use the spreadsheet in the Buy From Search window. It involves several steps.
