  1. In portfolio manager add a position sizing that would be a % of the total portfolio amount related to the stop:
    example
    Portfolio amount = 25,000
    stock price = 13
    stop is at 11.50
I want to risk 5% of the 25,000
have it where I can pick whatever % I want to have at risk 2%,5% ect
number of shares to buy =833
    I have 1,250 @ risk

  2. What I would like to see is the ability to search for stocks / industries / sectors that perform well during certain time frames. For example, some stocks / industries do very well during the christmas season. Knowing which ones could help users ride seasonality trends.

  3. Presently, once a custom moving average is created, it is "greyed" out, and no mathmatical operations can be performed. Correspondingly, a simple operation of comparing two moving averages to some scalar value other than 1.0 cannot be performed. To wit:

    Date of Search, 13d MA (Price) / 8d MA (Price) < 2.0

    is not a possible search.

  4. Open interest tells you how many people have options on a particular strike price that have NOT been closed. This is critical information when choosing a strike price...if there is little or no OI, it might not be possible to close the option contract in the future. Low OI also leads to very wide bid/ask prices.

  5. Ability to use VV fields to create own custom timing based on VVC.
Could be a tool that can be automatically applied in the AutoTester to backtest ideas.
I.e. create your own Market TIming (that you can save), using available fields & rules, to create Long, Short and Neutral signals that you can backtest and use in teh future.
If ever created, you could also run a competition for users to run their timing system on backtests and future to explore ideas and timing that suits different types of users.

  8. Add the following conditions to the BackTester/AutoTester Platform upon set-up before the backtest starts to run.

Ability to select condition upon either Entry or Exit :

    1) Comparing the MTI value (such as MTI > 1.0)
    2) Comparing the BSR value (such as BSR > 1.0)
    3) Comparing the RT value (such as RT > 1.0)
    4) Compare the color of the VV-Price value (such as color <> Red)

So for example, a backtest can be set such as buy when MTI > 1.0
and sell when the MTI <= 1.0

Using this VV indicators to determine entry and exit,…

  13. Sequential numbering of rows (like a spreadsheet) would help in quickly selecting "top 10" or "20" or selecting every X-th stock in a cherry-pick without resorting to counting every time!

  14. Add the BSR rating to the industry and sector viewer pages and also add this as a field for use in Unisearch. This would allow additional flexibility in using industry/sector in selecting stocks.

  15. When accessing the backtest section you can have a list of results from previous backtests. We should be able to export those results to an excel spreadsheet so that we can do further analysis of our results.

  17. Include more ProTrader parameters in the custom field builder. For example, I would like to divide current price by the 10d ATR. Many more useful searches could be created if all the VV standard fields could be utilized in the custom field builder it, and I would buy it.

  19. To backtest individual stocks in VV7 you have to create a watchlist and then create a search that equals your watchlist. It is great that we can backtest a search but it would be great to have the ability to backtest existing watchlists and to create your own list of stocks inside the backtest tab of VV7.
