This feature now exists in VectorVest 7. The REC is displayed across the top of the graph, so you can quickly see the REC value at any point on the graph.

If you are not currently using VectorVest 7, follow this link for a free 30 day trial:

  3. I would love to be able to highlight/cherry-pick the top-X performing stocks (after sorting ROI desc.) from the Quicktest window and send them as a group to the graph popup window whereupon I could then look at the history of various indicators that may be giving rise to the pick's performance.... Otherwise, I have to copy the stock symbols by hand and re-enter at the graph window.

This feature is implemented as Performance Graphs in both VectorVest Online and VectorVest 7.

  5. Graph two or more stocks simultaneously...

I often like to see how much a stock is connected to SPY, QQQ, etc. or 2-3 similar stocks in the same sector. I am not able to do this in VV but can on my trading platform.

This feature exists in both VectorVest 7 and VectorVest Online. You can graph multiple stocks against each other by using a Performance Graph which is available in the Graphs section.

  6. I would like to see capability added to the program to save performance graphs (containing more than one stock or index) so performance of various indices/stocks can be compared graphically over time. Now one has to recreate the graph dailey.

  7. Often I create a new timing graph to test. It would be nice to be able to add notes to these graphs. Ther is plenty room on the left side of the graph. Adding a text block should be easy. Thanks.

Notes can be added to a graph by using the Drawing Tools in the upper toolbar. Click on the arrow next to the button named Freehand Line. The fifth choice in the list is Note. A note can be drawn anywhere on the graph and will be saved with the stock being graphed.

To export symbols from VectorVest 7, right-click on the grid for a watchlist or a portfolio, and choose Export to .csv. This will allow you to export the symbols (and more data if you’d like) to a .csv file.

  11. When putting a moving average for volume on the chart it creates another graph instead of it just being an overlay.

  12. What I would like to see is a new tool that would search for Support Bounces or Resistance touches , W patterns.cup and handles, etc with just a click of the mouse. I would like to Search the Sectors, Industries, and watchlist, either mine or Vector Vest's..

  14. VV allows you to graph a watchlist, but not a portfolio (as far as I know). Allow the same functionality so you can track the RT of your consolidated portfolio, compare performance vs the VVC or other metrics, etc.

  15. Keep the same time frame that was set in standard graph when you select protrader graph(or visa versa) for convenience. Usually you will want to use both graphs in the same time frame. If not, then you can simply readjust it to what ever timeframe you want.

This issue has been fixed in VectorVest 7, as ProTrader and Standard graphs have been combined into one graph type.

We’re proud to announce that VectorVest 7 is now available on Mac OS X 10.7 and later! This solution no longer requires a separate partition or installing Parallels Desktop + Windows. Instead, we use a remote server to host VectorVest 7.

Subscribers will install Parallels RAS Client (free app) to access our software. To start using it, go to http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/mac.

  20. Would like option to display numbers on right side of Market Timing Graph which would be closer to recent close prices. Would be much easier than following grid lines to the left displayed numbers.
