When we do various drawings / trend lines on a stock chart (Graph), they disappear as soon as you close the chart. So 5mins later or next day, or next week if you want to check on those lines you drew previously, you have to draw them again and remember what you did with that particular stock and what you were waiting for. example waiting for a pullback to hit a support or trend line.
Is there anyway such drawings can be saved against the stock symbol ?1 vote
Can we please have an option to have a little space between the current bar and the edge of the chart?1 vote
In graph settings, there is a setting for Right Margin. Increasing this will add a gap between the bar and the edge of the chart.
My custom fields show up on uni search but on "Graph" Add Parameter there is no small right arrow on the custom field item and clicking on this does nothing. If I can search on a custom field then I need to graph it.1 vote

The latest version of VectorVest 7, 126.96.36.199, has improved default parameter colors in Classic view. If you have not yet been prompted for the update, please download it from http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7
Currently, in GRAPH, the bottom right corner TIME period selection menu, does NOT show the selected TIME frame as a Highlighted item. You can calculate this info by subtracting dates, but having the TIME frame Highlighted in yellow, would be faster, and easier to see at a glance.2 votes
The currently viewed time period is shown on the scrollbar directly below the graph. The scrollbar shows the amount of time being displayed. For example, 3y, 5d means 3 years and 5 days are being displayed.
In VectorVest 7, you can add Moving Averages to a parameter by right-clicking on the parameter on the right-hand side of the Graph. Click Add Moving Average to choose a moving average to add.
GRAPHS - MARKET TIMING. Need option to overlay Confirmed Up/Down lines1 vote
This feature exists in the current Market Timing graphs. At the bottom left of the graph is a series of buttons. One is labeled Confirmed Calls to activate arrows on the graph showing where Market Calls happened.
Click the arrow next to the button to view Primary Wave, DEW, or Green Light Buyer instead.
Add price change and price % change to "Price Bar" in graph control panel. This data is aready available in "viewers" tab and is used extensively/consistenty with other graphic systems.1 vote
Price Change and % Price Change are both available in graphs.
In the Graph Control Panel, click Add Parameter and you will find them under the Price/Volume section.
The Performance graph is the only graph that does not allow you to draw trend lines and all other drawing options. If other options are and issue - then at least allow the extended line. Also regression channels would be a nice option added to the drawing package.1 vote
Drawings are now available for VectorVest 7 performance graphs.
To use the performance graph drawings, get the latest update to VectorVest 7 here:
This is possible in VectorVest 7, Mitchell.
To see the earnings for S&P 500 on a graph, go to the Graphs tab and on the first button in the top toolbar, select Market Climate. One of the graphable parameters is Earnings for the S&P 500.
I very much like being able to select a white background for graphs separately from a universal choice. However, when this is done, colors of the selected graph items (RT etc.) are not changed and become invisible or nearly so. Please on making this white background selection, provide a complementary set of veiwable colors for all parameters.4 votes
The latest version of VectorVest 7 is now available and has much better default colors for graphs when using a white background.
If you have not yet received the latest version (188.8.131.52), it can be downloaded at http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7
Open a stock graph, and then open its Industry graph (from the stock graph); RT Ranking is not available as a Parameter. However, if go to Viewers > Industries, and then open a graph, RT Ranking is available. This problem should be fixed.1 vote
in "Graphs", allow display of an index along with the security we're graphing so we can compare. This is especially helpful in comparing the perfomance and volatility of an ETF with its benchmark index2 votes
This features exists in VectorVest 7 as a Performance graph. To use Performance Graphs, go to the Graphs tab. On the Graphs toolbar, click on the button labeled Stocks and select Performance.
On the Performance graph, you can compare Stocks, Industries, and Sectors by adding them using the selector to the right of the graph.

This feature exists in VectorVest 7 graphs.

It is very helpful to be able to look a graphs and clearly see where past trades were entered and exited. The note can contain all the vital information to evaluate how the decesion was made at the time, and at what price and time.1 vote
Graph notes exist in VectorVest 7. To add a Graph Note, click on the small arrow on the graph toolbar next to Freehand Line. The fifth item down is Note.
After selecting Note, you will be able to draw a Note anywhere on the graph. The note will save at the position you drew it for the security that you have graphed.
I wanted to add another moving average for crossover study. The ADD button didn't seem to offer moving average, and right clicking the existing ma box didn't offer creating another new one...only altering the existing one. I happened to right click on a blank EPS box and found "add another moving average." I tried creating it from there, and got a subgraph with a straight white line...might have been dashes. FYI.1 vote
In VectorVest 7, to add a Moving Average right-click on the item to the right of the graph that you would like to add a Moving Average to.
So, to add an MA to Price, right-click on the Price box, and select Add Moving Average.
You can add as many Moving Averages this way as you wish.
In modifying a plain line on a graph, in changing style menu, allow flexibility to "thicken" the line. Currently a plain line cannot be "thickened"/enlarged.3 votes
