Alerts Portfolio and Watchdog
The alerts at the bottom of the screen in VV7, whether for Watchdog or Portfolios, remain in the list and never go away unless each one is individually clicked on. Unless that is done, they remain in the list of alerts forever. Is there any way to have an options that will erase a group of alerts at the same time or automatically ?

In this update, after opening the Alerts list, all Alerts will be marked as having been read.

Performance Graph - allow drawings on Graph
The Performance graph is the only graph that does not allow you to draw trend lines and all other drawing options. If other options are and issue - then at least allow the extended line. Also regression channels would be a nice option added to the drawing package.

I would like to see a gain\loss stop criteria that allows for trailing stops. My broker can do this.
My brokers conditional stop triggers has an option to stop on a gain price or trailing stop %. I would like to have this option in back tests.

If i understand you correctly, you can accomplish this by unchecking ‘use market timing’ in the second step of the backtest wizard. doing so will give you just one set of automation rules, in which you can choose to buy long or sell short, thereby giving you a test where you’re always long or always short.

To access VectorVest University from VectorVest 7, add the Training gadget to your VectorVest 7 homepage.
The Training gadget when clicked will take you to the VectorVest University.
To add the Training gadget, click the small Wrench button at the very top of the Home tab. This will drop down a list of all available gadgets. The training gadget is near the end of the list. Click on it to add it to your homepage.

Portfolio Automation should include Timing List Options that are available in the Backtest.
It doesn't make sense to offer fine-tuning of Backtests using Timing Options (i.e. Confirmed Calls, Primary Wave, DEW) and then not be able to apply that fine-tuning to your Portfolio Automation. It defeats the purpose of adding it to your Backtest.

Improve color set-up for graphs when choosing white background.
I very much like being able to select a white background for graphs separately from a universal choice. However, when this is done, colors of the selected graph items (RT etc.) are not changed and become invisible or nearly so. Please on making this white background selection, provide a complementary set of veiwable colors for all parameters.

2 votesIt combines the trends of the price of the VVC, BSR & RT into one indicator.
It is not just a straight average of the three.There are times when the MTI can move in the opposite direction of the other three which is known as a divergence.
One of the things that helped us nail the 3/9/09 market bottom was a divergence between the VVC Price and the MTI.See the strategy section of the VV Views on 3/6/09 where we described this phenomenon.

Proir Day's Stop Price
Bug, in Portfolios > Manage Portfolios> Edit Portfolios Automation> Long> Choose Stop Criteria> Prior Day's Stop Price. When you set this it seems to work, but when you go back to to check it , it returns to default. Other stop criteria does not work ether Trailing Average True Range Stop.

This is possible in VectorVest 7, Mitchell.
To see the earnings for S&P 500 on a graph, go to the Graphs tab and on the first button in the top toolbar, select Market Climate. One of the graphable parameters is Earnings for the S&P 500.

UniSearch now saves whether it was last sorted alphabetically or grouped.

memory leak
I've been running extensive backtests and have noticed that the applications slows down alot after 25 to 30 backtests in one session. Windows Task Manager shows the memory usage grow with each backtest that is run, but doesn't release that memory when it finishes.
