Improved Valuation Metrics
I am new to VectorVest. I don't know how good the valuation metrics are. I will find out. I have been using another rating service "New Constructs" for some time. I like the detail of their analysis. (see attached) I do notice that their valuation metrics often differ from VectorVest. For example, URI currently trades at 92.25 and has a VectorVest value of 162.83. However, according to New Constructs, this stock has a forward-looking value much less than its current price. See attached New Constructs report.
Here is the idea. Enter into an agreement with New Constructs to do a…

Exclude ETFs, especially leveraged and inverse ETFs (or both) and pink sheet stocks in determining the VVC price and other factors
Leveraged ETFs skew the results of the VVC price by magnifying price movements, and inverse ETFs tend to run counter to the market trend. Even normal ETFs that track the market should not be included, since the stocks they contain may be duplicated from individual stocks already in the database. Also, stocks listed in the pink sheets should be excluded since they typically move independent of the market (esp. due to low liquidity).

Include Stop Price percentage with the dollar amount
VectorVest frequently uses percentages when recommending Stops. Therefore, in the Full Stock Analysis Report, in the "Stop (Stop Price)" paragraph, in the third sentence, it would be extremely helpful if the percentage was added in parentheses behind the dollar amount that the Stop is below the current closing price. (In a sample of seven stocks, the Stop Price percentage ranged from 25.1% (BITA) to 8.2% (URI), using 8/14/2014 closing prices.)

Add a New Stop Loss Criteria Alert by % from Purchase Price
Allow a stop loss criteria alert to be set as a percentage from the purchase price; not a previous closing price (or any other 'moving' price) since you have no reference point. This way you can 'see' the decline as it happens and be notified that the loss has crossed that percentage amount. This will avoid having to create multiple portfolios of the same stocks to be notified when a stock is down by 1%, 2%, 3%, etc...from purchase price. This is more accurate than your current stop loss criteria possibilities, in my opinion. Seems like it would be an…

Show the difference between the stock price and the stop price on screen
The difference between the stk price and stop price at 2 different dates- if the math could be displayed, so we wouldn't have to use calculators to see the change in the divergence. So everytime a screen came up it would automatically show you the differential..perhaps as a bracketed # by the stop price...Comparisons w

Would like to see average daily price change for a sector / stock. This will help in picking stocks.
Would like to see average daily price change for a sector / stock. This will help in picking stocks that have price deltas more than an average price change. It is one of the strategies that vector vest can incoporate into the system.
